Librarian

I first heard this song at the ALA conference in Anaheim. A book cart drill team was using it as their background music.

NYT

My man is trying hard to win “The New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest." Readers submit captions and vote on the winner. Each winner receives a print of the cartoon signed by the artist who drew it. He’s tried for months, but never won. It’s tough coming up with new ways to keep him encouraged: “Keep trying Honey! They don’t know squat about funny --- and you’re funny… trust me!” Poor guy. Some day I’ll tell him the truth: there’s not much mileage left in knock-knock jokes.

Greeting Cards

I should be a Hallmark card writer. Where do I apply, because those sappy notes can’t compare to my jolting sincerities and wordsmithery? For example, my best friend just broke her arm, and so I decided to lift her spirits by crafting and sending her a homemade greeting. It read, “Sarah: Sticks and stones, may break our bones, but slipping down a staircase and tripping on your dress, definitely hurts.”

I’d like to think she smiled.

Conan O'Brian at Colorado Mills

So Kris and I saw Conan O'Brian at the Colorado Mills Mall recently. You take a look and tell me this isn't him...

Come on! Spittin' image.
